Engineering diplomas from polytechnics, agriculture, veterinary science (5 years, 300 ECTS) and medicine (6 years, 360 ECTS) are legally established as Integrated Masters. Graduates hold a Level 7 qualification without needing a separate postgraduate degree.
Both public SAEK and private IEK follow unified training curricula and lead to the exact same nationwide EOPPEP certification exams. The state vocational diploma is identical (Level 5) with equal recognition in the market and ASEP.
A university degree certifies Level 6, but practising legally regulated professions (engineers, lawyers, accountants, medical doctors) requires obtaining a professional licence and enrolling in the respective statutory chamber. See our detailed guide to professional rights.
