3.2 By browsing and/or using the platform and interacting with the EduCoach Chatbot, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms.
3.3 The Provider reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time. For substantive changes, you will be notified by email and/or by an in-platform announcement at least fifteen (15) days before the new terms take effect. 4.1 EduCoach is a digital platform supporting educational choices that combines:
4.2 The purpose of the Service is to provide supportive and informational guidance to users regarding possible educational paths in Greek tertiary education (undergraduate, postgraduate, reskilling and specialization programs), strengthening the process of personal exploration and decision-making.
4.3 At present and until further notice, the Service is provided in beta/MVP form.
4.4 The Service uses automated processing and creates personalized profiles (profiling) to generate personalized results. Details on the processing of personal data are in the Privacy Policy; details on AI use are in the AI Use Notice.
4.5 The Service's results are probabilistic and based on the accuracy and completeness of the data underlying them — including data provided by the user. Results are not binding, produce no legal effects for the user, and do not guarantee admission success, academic progress, or professional outcomes.
4.6 The Service does not substitute the user's own judgment and does not provide binding career-counseling, academic, legal, financial, or other professional advice. The user bears sole responsibility for their final choices and decisions.
4.7 The Service is not intended or designed to manipulate user behavior in ways that materially limit freedom of choice or cause harm.
4.8 The Service is an exploration and support tool and is not a selection, ranking, evaluation, or admission system for candidates at educational institutions. The Service is not institutionally affiliated with any higher-education institution or public authority, and its results are not used by third parties to make decisions with legal effects on the user. Nor is it used or intended to be used by third parties as an evaluation or decision-making system affecting persons' access to education or employment.
4.9 The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", based on its current technical/operational state (particularly for MVP/beta features). The Provider makes reasonable efforts for proper operation and improvement, without however guaranteeing uninterrupted, flawless, or entirely secure operation.
5.1 The Service uses AI models from third-party providers, notably:
The list of AI providers may be updated; in any case, the most recent version is included in the AI Use Notice.
5.2 The platform and user data are hosted within the European Union. However, AI provider operations may involve data transfers outside the EEA (notably to the United States). Such transfers are made under the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or other appropriate GDPR safeguards. More information is in the Privacy Policy.
5.3 The Provider does not allow AI providers to use user conversation data to train their general models. The Provider also does not use conversation data to train its own models.
6.1 The Service is intended for users aged 15 and over. Upon registration, the user is asked to confirm their age.
6.2 For minors aged 15-17, we strongly recommend informing and obtaining the agreement of a guardian before using the Service. The Provider reserves the right, where deemed necessary, to request guardian consent or age verification.
6.3 Use of the Service requires registration and account creation. Registration is done via one of the following methods:
By registering, you declare that you are at least 15 years old, that the information you provide is accurate and truthful, and that you have the legal capacity to be bound by these Terms and to provide your consent to the processing of your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
6.4 You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activity carried out through your account.
6.5 You agree to use the platform and the Service solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. Specifically, you agree that you will not:
6.6 In the event of unlawful, fraudulent, or non-compliant use, the Provider may restrict your access to part or all of the platform and claim damages for any loss. The Provider's non-enforcement of rights does not constitute a waiver of them.
7.1 Access to the platform and use of the Service are at your own risk.
7.2 The Provider makes every reasonable effort to keep the platform accessible and functional. Nevertheless, due to the MVP/beta phase, errors, deviations, or interruptions may occur. To the extent permitted by law, the Provider is not liable for damages due solely to technical failures of third parties, force majeure, or inaccurate/incomplete third-party data.
7.3 The Provider reserves the right to refuse or block access to all or part of the platform, temporarily or permanently, for reasons of security, maintenance, or breach of these Terms.
7.4 Platform content (including information, images, and other material) may be modified or deleted at any time by the Provider, with reasonable consideration of users' legitimate interests.
7.5 All content hosted on the platform (trademarks, graphics, images, texts, software, algorithms, database structures) — except for specific third-party rights — is the exclusive intellectual property of the Provider and is protected by applicable law.
7.6 It is prohibited to reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise commercially exploit platform content without prior written permission from the Provider. It is also prohibited to create derivative works or to mislead the public regarding the Provider.
7.7 The Provider reserves the right to modify, upgrade, restrict, or discontinue in whole or in part the operation of the platform or the provision of the Service, particularly MVP/beta features, for technical, security, or operational reasons.
8.1 The Service is provided under a freemium model: basic features are available free of charge, while certain advanced features may be provided for a fee (premium).
8.2 Prices, available subscriptions, and their content are described within the platform and may change. Price changes for active subscriptions apply from the next billing period, after reasonable prior notice.
8.3 Right of withdrawal: As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from a premium subscription purchase within fourteen (14) calendar days of concluding the contract, without giving reasons, in accordance with Greek law 2251/1994 as in force. To exercise this right, contact the Provider.
8.4 Digital content exception: If you expressly request the start of the premium Service before the expiry of the 14-day period and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once the Service is fully performed, the right of withdrawal ceases (Article 3ιβ of law 2251/1994).
8.5 In case of subscription cancellation outside the 14-day period, access to premium features continues until the end of the already-paid billing period, with no refund for the unused portion.
9.1 The results and responses produced by the Chatbot and the recommendation system for the user (hereinafter "Outputs"), personalized to their questions and profile, may be used freely by the user for personal, non-commercial use (e.g. exploring studies, personal decision-making, personal notes).
9.2 Prohibited: commercial exploitation, redistribution, public presentation, or use of Outputs to train or evaluate other AI systems without prior written permission from the Provider.
9.3 The Provider does not waive any intellectual property rights in the underlying technology, algorithms, templates, or training data used to produce the Outputs.
10.1 The results provided via the Service are indicative, informational, and supportive and do not constitute a binding recommendation, personalized professional advice, or a guarantee of a specific academic or professional outcome. They may contain errors or inaccuracies.
10.2 Results are produced via automated processing and are based on data available at the time of processing. Information on study programs, admission requirements, professional rights, labor-market data, or macroeconomic indicators may change over time. The Provider makes reasonable efforts to update data, without guaranteeing absolute accuracy, completeness, or timeliness.
10.3 The accuracy and relevance of results depend substantially on the completeness, accuracy, and sincerity of the information the user provides. The Provider is not liable for deviations due to incomplete or misleading information provided by the user.
10.4 The Provider does not provide express or implied warranties regarding the accuracy or suitability of results for a specific purpose, admission to an educational institution, successful completion of studies, professional placement, academic trajectory, or future earnings.
10.5 Any decision taken based on the Service's results is the sole responsibility of the user. The Service does not replace personal research, individual judgment, advice from a certified career counselor, or official information from the educational institutions themselves.
10.6 To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Provider is not liable for direct or indirect damages, consequential damages, lost profits, loss of opportunity, or moral damage arising from the use or inability to use the Service or from reliance on its results.
11.1 Deletion by the user: You may at any time request deletion of your account via the relevant feature within the platform. Upon completion, your access to the platform ceases and within thirty (30) business days all data you shared during registration and use of the Service is permanently deleted. Data copies may remain for a reasonable period in backup systems or logs, solely for reasons of security, prevention of malicious actions, technical recovery, and legal compliance. For personal data, the Privacy Policy additionally applies.
11.2 Suspension or termination by the Provider: The Provider may suspend or terminate your access (temporarily or permanently) if:
Where feasible and reasonable, the Provider provides prior notice, unless reasons of immediate protection or legal obligation apply.
12.1 For complaints, objections, or requests regarding the Service, you can contact the Provider directly by email. The Provider will examine your request within a reasonable time and, in any case, no later than thirty (30) days.
12.2 In addition to direct contact with the Provider, you have the right of recourse to the following independent authorities:
